Grief Support

During the time a heart loses someone very close to it, an empty hole surfaces and may make you feel a variety of emotions at once and cannot handle it alone.

Symptoms of Grief

  • Fatigue
  • Anxiety, Depression or Mood Swings
  • Moments of Frustration and/or Confusion


  • Be kind to your body and mind. Eat healthy, exercise, enjoy company, and the most important factor, maintaining a basic sleep pattern.
  • Allow yourself to grieve. Don't rush your emotions.
  • Stay involved with friends and family. They can be your support and comfort. Reach out to them if you ever feel the need. Get involved and let your mind rest from the trails of thoughts you mind receive throughout the day.

Grief and Loss

The American Association of Retired Persons website contains a Grief & Loss section with grief-related articles and information.


Grief Share is a warm environment, is designed to help the bereaved through a time of difficulty.

National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization   

The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s website provides a host of information and resources for people facing a life-limiting illness or injury and their caregivers.

Although family, friends,and caregivers help you through grieving periods, sometimes we need morethroughout the process to continue to heal; someone to listen, or someone toget advice from.
