Shari Jo Sherfey, age 67, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Tri Star Stone Crest Medical Center.

Shari was born on August 21, 1952, to the late James Williams Mathis and Betty Ruth Jones Mathis in Murray, Kentucky. She worked as an executive director from Allheart Health Care.

Shari is survived by children, Tina Ibrahim, and husband Ferhat, of Smyrna, Tennessee,  Alan Barnhart of Smyrna, Tennessee, and Billy Barnhart, and wife, Joyce, of Canada; brothers, Ron Mathis, and wife Charlotte, of Westmoreland, Tennessee, and Bob Mathis, and wife Janice, of Parsons, Tennessee; nieces, Toni West and husband, Brent, of Cottontown, Tennessee, and Sabrina Overby, of White House, Tennessee; uncle, Joe Mathis, and wife, Geraldine, of Murray, Kentucky, along with nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Shari will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020, at 12 PM from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home with Ron Mathis officiating. Visitation with friends and family will begin on Monday, January 6, 2020, from 10 AM until service time at 12 PM. Interment will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020, at the Unity Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery, in Marshall County, Kentucky. We are asking those who would like to come to meet at the cemetery at 3:30 PM.
